Outsourced Sales Development

Outsourced sales that books and builds pipeline.

Hand the hardest, most time-consuming part of selling, finding and booking qualified buyers, to a team that does it all day. Your closers close. We build the pipeline.

The Basics

What is Outsourced Sales?

Outsourced sales is partnering with a specialist firm to run part of your sales motion, most often the top of the funnel: prospecting, outreach, qualification, and appointment setting. It lets you add capacity and expertise without the time, cost, and risk of hiring. Abstrakt becomes your outsourced sales development arm, booking qualified meetings for your closers while you keep ownership of the relationship and the deal.

What to Outsource

Which parts of the sales process should you outsource?

Outsource the work that is repetitive, volume-driven and easy to measure: finding accounts, reaching decision-makers, qualifying, booking the first meeting and following up with buyers who are not ready. Keep the work that depends on your expertise and relationships: discovery, the site walk, pricing, the proposal, the close and the account after it. The outsourced half is sales prospecting and B2B appointment setting.

That split is what Abstrakt sells. We do not close deals, write proposals or price your work. If you want a firm that also supplies quota-carrying closers, that is a different service, so ask every provider exactly where its people stop. For how the prospecting program itself runs week by week, see appointment setting.

The Handoff

How does the handoff from our SDRs to your closers work?

The SDR books the meeting on your closer's calendar and passes on what was learned in the conversation, so your closer walks in knowing who, why now and what the buyer asked. From there the opportunity belongs to your team.

01

Agree the rules

Before launch: which rep gets which meetings by territory or service line, when they are available, and what disqualifies a meeting.

02

Book with context

The invite lands on the right calendar with notes: contact and role, current provider, contract or project timing, the problem raised and who else is involved.

03

Your closer runs it

Discovery, the walk-through and the proposal happen on your process. Nothing about how you sell has to change.

04

Feedback fast

Tell us whether it was qualified and what the next step is. That feedback is what sharpens the next batch.

05

Not ready goes to nurture

If timing is further out than it looked, the account goes back into a cadence with a date.

06

Track to revenue

Meetings, opportunities and closed business sit in the Results Portal next to the activity that produced them.

TruSeal America is the clean example: Abstrakt generated and qualified the opportunities, and TruSeal's closers did what they were already good at. Over 15 months that produced 129 appointments and $344,440 in closed commercial revenue. The most common way a handoff fails is on the client side: a meeting booked for a rep who is buried in work, with nobody owning the follow-up. Decide who owns outsourced meetings before the first one is booked.

Your Brand

How do you protect your brand when someone else calls for you?

Approve what is said in your name, know who is saying it and keep the ability to listen to any call. If you cannot hear the conversations, you cannot protect the brand.

  • Messaging you have seen. Your campaign strategist builds the ICP, messaging and sequences with you, so claims and positioning match how you actually sell.
  • Who is on the phone. Abstrakt SDRs are U.S.-based, dedicated to your program and trained on your market before they dial.
  • Every call recorded. Recordings and transcripts sit in the Results Portal. Listen to the first week of calls, then spot-check.
  • Clean lists. Current customers, dead accounts and bad fits are suppressed before outreach, so your best clients do not get a cold call in your name.
  • Persistence with a reason. Nurture runs on dates and triggers, not repeat calls to the same desk every week.
  • No conflict in your market. One client per trade per territory. We will not run the same program for a direct competitor in your territory.
Compare

Outsourced sales team, staffing agency or freelancer: what is the difference?

A staffing agency gives you a person to manage. A freelancer gives you a person who manages themselves. An outsourced sales development team works as an extension of yours and is measured on an outcome, qualified meetings, with the rep, tools, data and management included.

QuestionOutsourced teamStaffing agencyFreelancer

Who pays for tools and dataAbstraktYouUsually you, or nobody, and it shows in the results.
How you payFlat program feeHourly markup or feeHourly, retainer or commission, depending on the person.

What you hold them toQualified meetingsHours workedWhatever the agreement says, which is often vague.

Each has a place. A staffing agency works when you already have a strong sales manager and a proven playbook and simply need another seat filled. A freelancer can work for a short test or when someone already has a network in your industry. An outsourced team makes sense when you need the whole prospecting function, including the management and the stack, and want to buy it as one thing.

Risks

What are the risks of outsourcing sales, and how do you manage them?

The real risks are loose qualification, reps who do not understand your market, no visibility into the work and losing what was built if the relationship ends. Each can be handled in how you choose the partner and how you set the program up.

  • Loose qualification. Get the definition in writing and check every meeting against it. Ours is on what counts as a qualified appointment.
  • Reps who do not know your trade. Ask for case studies in your industry and listen to real calls before you sign.
  • A black box. Insist on live access to activity and recordings, not a monthly PDF.
  • A competitor using the same firm. Ask about exclusivity in your territory, and get the answer in writing.
  • Your own team ignoring the meetings. The quietest risk. Assign an owner, track follow-up speed and review outcomes together.
Choosing a Partner

How do you choose an outsourced sales partner?

Choose on scope, proof and transparency. You should know where their work stops and yours starts, see results with buyers like yours and be able to watch the work happen.

  • Where exactly do your people stop? You need a clear line between their work and your closers'.
  • Show me a case in my industry and deal size. A design-build GC that could not pull its team off active projects landed a $900K project in month three. MSS closed a $595K agreement after two years of nurture. Look for proof that matches your cycle.
  • Who works my account, and what else are they working? Ask about dedicated capacity, not just headcount.
  • How do you report pipeline, not only activity? Dials and emails are inputs. You are buying meetings and opportunities.
  • What do you need from my team? A good partner will ask for closer availability, fast approvals and honest meeting feedback.

For a longer checklist, see how to choose an appointment setting company. If you are weighing outsourcing against hiring reps yourself, the outsourced SDR and BDR page compares the costs by category. If what you are missing is phone and email capacity next to your field reps, outsourced inside sales is the same program measured the same way. If the job is opening a territory or vertical you have never sold into, start with outsourced business development.

Questions, Answered

Outsourced Sales FAQ

What does outsourced sales mean?+

Partnering with a specialist firm to run part of your sales motion, usually prospecting and appointment setting, so your team can focus on closing.

What part of sales should I outsource?+

The top of the funnel: list building, outreach, qualification, booking and long-cycle nurture. Keep discovery, pricing, the proposal, the close and the account relationship.

Does Abstrakt close deals for us?+

No. We prospect, qualify and book meetings with decision-makers. Your team runs the meetings and closes.

Is outsourcing sales right for my business?+

If you sell to other businesses, one deal is worth a meeting and you have someone who can close but no time to prospect, it is usually a strong fit.

How is outsourced sales different from a staffing agency?+

A staffing agency places a person you manage. We deliver a managed program, with reps, process, technology, coaching and reporting, measured on qualified meetings rather than hours.

Will I keep control of my deals and brand?+

Yes. Messaging is built with you, every call is recorded for you to review, and you own the relationship, the deal and the close.

Can an outsourced team work alongside my in-house reps?+

Yes. Agree before launch which territories, service lines or account tiers the outsourced team covers, and which reps take its meetings.

What do I need to provide?+

Input on your ideal customer, a closer with calendar time, quick approval of messaging and honest feedback on every meeting.

Do you guarantee appointments?+

Yes. Every program carries an appointment guarantee based on your industry; the exact number is in your agreement. If we miss it by the end of the year, we work for free until we hit it. Every meeting that counts toward the number has to pass the three-check standard.
