Questions about our jobs

Do I need prior sales experience?

No. We hire for drive, coachability, and communication skills, not just résumés. Many of our top-performing SDRs had no formal sales experience before joining. If you're hungry to learn, ready to grow, and thrive in a fast-paced team environment, we'll train you to succeed.

What does an SDR at Abstrakt earn?

The current Sales Development Representative posting lists $40,000 to $55,000 a year. Pay is base plus commission, and high performers can earn a base salary increase after six months. Your offer letter has the plan details.

Is the work remote, hybrid or in the office?

It depends on the role. The St. Louis SDR role is office-based, with flexibility and the chance to earn remote work. Partner Account Managers are hybrid: they start in the office and earn more remote time as they hit milestones. The remote SDR role is for candidates in the Kansas City area only.

What is the difference between an SDR and a Partner Account Manager?

An SDR books meetings for four to five client companies. A Partner Account Manager does that work first, then owns client accounts: they are the main contact, keep the program on track and report results. New Partner Account Managers spend their first six months on the SDR side and certify into the full role at six months.

How soon can I be promoted?

After 90 days you can apply for internal promotions, and 90% of higher-level positions at Abstrakt are filled internally. Promotions are earned on performance and depend on open seats, so there is no set timeline.
