Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on this website, which is operated by Abstrakt Marketing Group, LLC (“Abstrakt,” “we,” “us”). It lists only the technologies we have found in use on this site. Read it together with our Privacy Policy.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage and scripts loaded from other companies’ servers, can also store or collect information about your visit. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of these.
Summary
Our own website code sets no cookies for general visitors. We set one cookie, and only for authorized users who sign in to the Red Card app. A few features you choose to use, such as the AI chat, the self-guided presentation and the guide checklists, keep small items in your browser’s storage so they work; these stay in your browser and are listed below. Our code also keeps one small attribution record in your browser’s local storage, so that if you later send us a form we know which ad, search, link or campaign first brought you here (added October 21, 2026; listed below). Since October 15, 2026 this site also loads Google Tag Manager, which runs the analytics and advertising tags described below; those tags set their own cookies. Some pages load content from third parties (video players and review widgets), and those providers may set their own cookies; video players load only when you press play.
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are needed for a feature you ask to use. They cannot be switched off on our side without breaking that feature.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__Host-rc_sid | Abstrakt (this site) | Keeps an authorized user signed in to the Red Card app at /red-card-app. It holds a random session ID only. It is set only after you sign in, is marked Secure and HttpOnly, and cannot be read by page scripts. | Up to 30 days, or until you sign out |
When you sign in to the Red Card app, you are sent to Microsoft’s sign-in page (login.microsoftonline.com). Microsoft sets its own cookies on its own domain as part of that sign-in. Those cookies are controlled by Microsoft and covered by Microsoft’s privacy statement. Visitors who never use the Red Card app do not receive any of these cookies.
Browser Storage Used by Our Own Features
These items are written by our own page code to your browser’s session storage (cleared when you close the tab) or local storage (kept until you clear your browser data). They are not cookies, they are not sent to us with each page request, and, except for the attribution record ab_attr, nothing is written until you use the feature.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
ac-log | Session storage | Keeps your conversation with the AI chat guide so it survives moving between pages. | Until you close the tab |
ac-teased | Session storage | Remembers that the chat guide’s greeting was shown, so it does not pop up again. | Until you close the tab |
sg-visitor | Session storage | Keeps the details you entered for a self-guided presentation and the notes written for you, so the slides stay personalized as you move around. | Until you close the tab |
gv-reloaded | Session storage | Prevents a reload loop if the AI video guide fails to load the first time. | Until you close the tab; removed once the guide loads |
gx: followed by the guide and checklist name | Local storage | Remembers which checklist items you ticked in an industry guide’s “Apply this” toolkit. | Until you clear your browser data |
ab_attr | Local storage (session storage if local storage is blocked) | Lead attribution (added October 21, 2026). Written on your first page view and updated when you come back from another site, an ad or a tagged link. It holds: ad click identifiers in the web address (gclid, gbraid, wbraid, msclkid, fbclid, li_fat_id), campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content), the page you landed on (without any other part of the web address), the site that linked to you, the dates of your first and latest visit, and the marketing channel we work out from these (for example Paid search or Organic search). It contains nothing you type. It is sent to us only if you submit a form, as hidden fields of that form, and is then stored with your form submission and in our CRM (Salesforce). | 365 days from your first visit, or until you clear your browser data |
abstrakt_form | Session storage | Holds the name of the form you just sent and the page it was on, so the thank-you page can record in Tag Manager’s data layer that a lead form was submitted. Removed when the thank-you page loads. | Until the thank-you page loads, or you close the tab |
Analytics Cookies
Since October 15, 2026, every page that uses our main layout loads Google Tag Manager (container GTM-M647H6H), operated by Google. Tag Manager itself does not set cookies; it loads the tags below. Through it we use Google Analytics 4 (cookies such as _ga and _ga_*, kept up to 2 years) to understand how visitors use the site, and Hotjar (cookies such as _hjSessionUser_* and _hjSession_*) to see how pages are used, including anonymized recordings of clicks, scrolling and page interaction. When a form is sent, we record that a lead form was submitted, with the form name and page, in Tag Manager’s data layer. Names and email addresses you type are not sent to analytics.
Call and lead tracking (added October 21, 2026). The same Tag Manager container also loads CallTrackingMetrics (tctm.co; cookies such as __ctmid) and WhatConverts (cookies and local storage items such as wc_visitor, wc_client and wc_swap). They can replace our phone number on the page with a tracking number that depends on how you reached the site (for example from a Google ad or a Google search), so that a call can be credited to that source, and they record details of calls to those numbers. It also loads Attributer, which keeps a record of how you arrived (flaretrk, local storage or cookie) for the forms on our older website, and ClickGuard, which checks ad clicks for fraud. Each handles the data under its own privacy policy. WhatConverts loads its script from s.ksrndkehqnwntyxlhgto.com and Attributer from a cloudfront.net address.
Other analytics tags (listed October 22, 2026). The same container also loads Segment (cdn.segment.com; cookies and local storage items such as ajs_anonymous_id), which collects page views for our analytics, and PostHog (us.i.posthog.com; a cookie or local storage item named ph_ followed by a project key), which records how pages are used. Each handles the data under its own privacy policy.
Advertising and Social Media Cookies
Through Google Tag Manager we also load advertising and conversion tags so we can measure our ads and show ads to people who visited the site: Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing (cookies such as _gcl_au, up to 90 days), including enhanced conversions, which can send a one-way hashed version of contact details you submit in a form to Google so it can match the conversion; the Meta (Facebook) Pixel (cookie _fbp, up to 90 days); the LinkedIn Insight Tag (cookies such as li_fat_id and bcookie); and Microsoft Advertising (UET; cookies such as _uetsid and _uetvid). These companies handle the data under their own privacy policies. Links in our footer to our social profiles are plain links.
Other advertising and identification tags (listed October 22, 2026). Tag Manager also loads the OpenAI ads measurement pixel (bzrcdn.openai.com and bzr.openai.com), which records visits and when a lead form is sent or a meeting is booked so OpenAI can measure our ads; the Reddit Pixel (redditstatic.com; cookie _rdt_uuid); Choozle advertising tags, loaded through Ensighten (nexus.ensighten.com); a visitor identification pixel (a.usbrowserspeed.com) that passes the page you visited and, where its provider can match your browser, a one-way hashed email address to our Abstrakt Intelligence service (api.abstraktintelligence.com), so our team can recognize and follow up with visiting companies; and the Calendly scheduling widget (assets.calendly.com) for booking links. These providers may set their own cookies and handle the data under their own privacy policies.
Your choices. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of interest-based ads at Google Ad Settings, Meta ad preferences, LinkedIn guest controls, Microsoft ad settings and Hotjar’s opt-out, or through the industry tools at optout.aboutads.info. You can also ask us not to share your information for advertising by emailing sales@abstraktmg.com.
Third-Party Content
Some pages load content from other companies. When they do, your browser connects to that company’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser details, and the company may set or read its own cookies or browser storage under its own privacy policy. We do not control these cookies.
| Provider | What it does | Where it appears |
|---|---|---|
| Wistia video channel (fast.wistia.com) | Plays our client testimonial videos. Wistia may use cookies or browser storage to run the player and measure video views. Loads when you scroll near it. | Home page, the Enterprise pipeline page, and B2B industry pages |
| Wistia single videos (fast.wistia.net) | Plays an individual video, only after you press play. | Videos page, trade industry pages, At a Glance, Outbound BDR, Life at Abstrakt, case studies, and some blog posts and guides |
| Trustindex (cdn.trustindex.io) | Displays a widget with our customer reviews. Loads when you scroll near it. | Home page and B2B industry pages |
| Clutch (widget.clutch.co) | Displays our Clutch rating and reviews widget. Loads when you scroll near it. | Home page and B2B industry pages |
| Tavus and Daily (tavusapi.com, daily.co) | Runs the AI video guide after you click to talk to it, and streams the guide’s recorded narration videos after you press play. Loads nothing until you click; may use browser storage to run the call. | Pages that offer the video guide, the cold call role play, the self-guided presentation and market pages, only after you click |
| Chili Piper (chilipiper.com) | Shows available meeting times and books a meeting with a strategist. Loads only when you open the scheduling panel (from the AI video guide or a Schedule a meeting button), after you have sent one of our lead forms (it then offers you a meeting time, using the name, email, phone and company you entered), or when you press “Show available times” on our appointment setting page; may use browser storage to run the scheduler. Added October 13, 2026, updated October 21, 2026. | Pages that offer the AI video guide or a lead form, and the Appointment Setting page, only after one of those actions |
| Intercom (widget.intercom.io) | Runs the chat messenger in the corner of the page, so you can message our team. Intercom sets its own cookies (such as intercom-id-*, intercom-session-* and intercom-device-id-*) to keep the conversation, and receives what you type and basic details about your visit. Added October 21, 2026. | Every page that uses our main layout, after the page has loaded |
| YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com) | Plays embedded videos in privacy-enhanced mode, only after you press play. Until then the page shows our own play button and loads nothing from YouTube. | Careers pages, Giving Back, the Videos page, the creative portfolio, Brand Boost (sales collateral), and some blog posts and guides |
| Vimeo (player.vimeo.com) | Plays one video with Vimeo’s “do not track” setting, only after you press play. | Videos page |
| Hireology (careers.hireology.com) | Shows our open jobs, only after you click to load the job board. | Open jobs page |
| NOAA Storm Prediction Center (via this site) | Our server fetches public storm reports; nothing loads from NOAA in your browser. | Roofing market guides |
Forms and Hosting
This site is hosted by Netlify. When you submit a form, the information you enter is processed through Netlify Forms and sent to us. Our form code does not set cookies. This includes the Sales Talk newsletter signup, which also writes nothing to your browser storage. Links in Sales Talk emails carry tags in the web address (such as utm_source=newsletter) that tell us a visit came from the newsletter; these are part of the link, not cookies, and Google Analytics reads them to attribute the visit. See our Privacy Policy for how newsletter signups are handled. Like most hosts, Netlify may record basic technical information, such as IP addresses, in server logs to deliver and secure the site.
AI Visibility Check (Added October 13, 2026). the Free AI Visibility Check sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser storage. The website you enter is checked from our server, so the website, Anthropic and (when available) Google PageSpeed Insights receive requests from us, not from your browser. Results are stored with Netlify for 24 hours under a random ID so the share link works. See our Privacy Policy.
How to Control Cookies
- Browser settings. Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies, including blocking third-party cookies only. Check the help pages for your browser (for example Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge).
- Third-party content. Blocking third-party cookies in your browser will limit cookies from Wistia, Trustindex, Clutch and the other providers above. Videos and review widgets may not work fully if their scripts are blocked.
- Browser storage. Closing the tab clears the session storage items above. Clearing your browser’s site data for this website removes the checklist ticks.
- Red Card app. Signing out removes the
__Host-rc_sidcookie. Blocking it will prevent you from staying signed in.
The analytics and advertising cookies above are optional: blocking them does not stop any feature of the site from working. On your first visit a cookie banner (CookieYes) asks for your choice. Analytics and advertising tags wait for it and stay off until you accept. A Global Privacy Control signal from your browser is honored. CookieYes stores your choice in its own cookie, cookieyes-consent. To change your choice, clear this site’s cookies and the banner asks again, or use the browser and opt-out controls listed under Advertising and Social Media Cookies.
Changes to This Policy
We will update this policy when the cookies or technologies used on this site change, and will change the “Last updated” date above.
