The St. Louis Small Business Monthly has named Abstrakt Marketing Group the “Best of the Best” in marketing firms, topping the list of 25 companies that were recognized in the St. Louis area. In a profile featuring Scott Scully, CEO of Abstrakt, the SBM asked for advice for other business owners looking to succeed.
“Focus on your people and stay true to your mission, always. 95% of our business comes from putting the right people in the right positions. Our individual talents are powerful, but when combined with others’ unique talents, they can become unstoppable. Every great business idea is the product of worthwhile talent, but it takes a team with many different talents to bring those ideas to fruition. That is why getting the right people into the right seats on the bus is essential to any business’ success. When things go wrong on the path to your company’s success, and they will, keeping your mission in mind will enable you to steer your way back to a successful course. It may not always be the course you imagined, but your mission is your north star, which in turn helps you navigate and orient yourself through the darkness,” said Scully.
The article went on to ask what Abstrakt’s No.1 practice is to become a “best” in business.
“Live your brand – drink your own Kool-Aid if you will, our most successful clients are the ones who follow our process the way it was intended to be used. It only makes sense for us to do the same. We practice what we preach, following our own best practices and using the solutions we have built for our clients, to grow our business as well.”
Best Marketing Firm was one of 15 categories for Small Business Monthly’s Best in Business Awards. A survey voted on by more than 15,000 in the area decided the winners of each award. Each category recognized an overall winner and four finalists, who will all be featured in the 2017-2018 Business Owners’ Guide.
