Abstrakt Marketing Group Wins Telly Award for 4th Year in a Row

Telly Awards 2022

Saint Louis, MO — The Telly Awards, the world’s largest honor for video and television content across all screens, announced the 2022 Telly award winners this morning. Abstrakt Marketing Group was named a Silver Winner in the Local TV category. A variety of top-tier brands and organizations as well as smaller media companies were named winners, including Sony Music Entertainment, Microsoft, ESPN, Square, and Fast Company. This year’s competition received over 11,000 entries and saw an increase in global submissions from Australia, Mexico and nations across Europe and Asia.

Founded in 1979 to honor commercials made for broadcast TV and cable, The Telly Awards has continually refreshed its categories to honor the evolving, broad range of work being made, including branded content, social video and animation. The organization works with industry experts to identify categories where new platforms play an increasingly important role in how stories are being told.

Abstrakt Marketing Group has won 6 Telly Awards over the past 4 years. Abstrakt’s winning entry for this year’s award was for a 3-year automotive client Santa Cruz Subaru, located in Capitola, California.

“We view a good challenge as an opportunity to both elevate our game and convey a client’s message well above and beyond its competitors,” says Creative Director Scott Ingberg. “Our client simply asked that we ‘try to include a dog in our TV spot.’  It’s incredibly gratifying that the idea that blossomed from this request received such a positive viewer response – and, of course, the appreciation from Telly Award voters.” You can view the winning video below.

“The workforce has changed so much. New companies have come out of this time, others have shifted their offerings and employees are also looking for new ways of working — and video is being utilized more than ever to address these shifts,” says Telly Executive Director Sabrina Dridje. This year’s incredible group of winners perfectly exemplifies the many artful and unique ways video is being used to tackle these timely topics.
