PALS animal shelter has been helping animals find homes for the past 26 years. On Aug. 4 the agency got some help for out of the county. From 9 a.m.-1p.m. 17 volunteers from Abstract Marketing in St. Louis came to PALS to help with the daily functions of the shelter.

The effort was part of the first give back day project know as “Abstract Give Back.” The firm went to 21 different non-for-profit organizations, including PALS, to volunteer. Volunteer Josh Costello said Abstract Marketing discovered PALS from employee, John Wallis, who had volunteered there in the past.
“He had mentioned PALS and got a group of us out to come help out,” he said. “A lot of us love animals so we thought that this would be a good pick for us.”
