Vice President of Partner Sales, Eric Watkins, explains how passion and adaptability can lead to great growth at Abstrakt.

“Right away I know the really talented people because there’s just a passion that they have in the interview and there’s just a hunger for what they want to accomplish – and those are the people that were looking for.”

What we’re looking for in a Partner Sales Representative

“Somebody who is coming in with bigger goals. Somebody who wants to aspire to be something that, you know, maybe they’re not quite there right now but they’re hardworking and motivating and they’re going to do whatever it takes. I want to meet my future boss in a PSR interview. I want to help that person grow to levels that they didn’t think were imaginable before.”

Why did you choose Abstrakt?

“I needed an internship for my summer internship at University of Missouri, looked at Abstrakt, came down to see the environment, the culture, and it just seemed like a place that I really wanted to be.

It really gave me an opportunity to understand the inner workings of the company. I got involved with a lot of different departments and I got my hands in a lot of unique jobs that really helped hone my skill set, which I use today in my current position.”

What sets Abstrakt apart?

“I feel like that at a lot of companies you’re a peg in the wheel. At Abstrakt, even though we’ve grown larger over the past five and a half years that I’ve been here, we still can change on a dime and we can make sure that we have the right processes and systems in place and you get to be a part of that.

I don’t know if there’s any other place like this and the reason is because the options are endless.

You can honestly double, triple your salary, your responsibility, in three, four, five years – there’s not a lot of places you can say that.”

What is your favorite part of working at Abstrakt?

“Everybody comes from different backgrounds and different experiences and we embrace that. Everybody here gets to bring a little bit of their individuality into the position and what we’ve created is sort of a melting pot of positivity and just an environment that really can’t be rivaled anywhere else.”
