The Abstrakt Video Chronicles (2.27 – 3.2): Twitter Engagement

On Monday, February 27, Twitter and the sports world met again, this time at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Driver Brad Keselowski, while driving his No. 2 Penske racecar, grabbed his iPhone (learn why he keeps one in his car here), snapped a pic of driver Juan Pablo Montoya’s fiery wreck and then shared it with his fans on Twitter.

By sharing it on Twitter and talking with his fans during the delay, Keselowski caused a social media tsunami, bringing him a 100,000-plus jump in followers—and a stir in social media circles.

Senior copywriter and digital strategist Sean Connors explains how his tweet offered a real time case study in social engagement.
